兵装開発

UR駆逐主砲「試作型五式127mm連装砲」。ここでは虹127mmと呼称します。

この装備は兵装開発の重桜駆逐主砲ルートで作成可能、

127mm連装砲(D型)[T0]とUR報告書6枚を消費します。

ほかにもUR報告書を消費する装備があり、積極的に作成するべきか悩むところですね。

Basic Performance

虹127mmを装備すると火力45/対空20を獲得します。

火力上昇値はSSRの軽巡主砲と同じ。駆逐主砲の中では138.6mm連装砲Mle_1934[T0]（虹アイリス砲）に次ぐ数値。

虹127mmは量産可能なため、虹アイリス砲が無ければユニオン戦艦の副砲にすることも考えられる。

攻撃方法は榴弾を2発×3連射します。

拡散角度が0なので、敵に収束するように飛んでいく。停止敵にはフルヒットが期待できます。

一方で三連射と榴弾の遅い弾速が合わさって、動く敵には2射目以降が外れやすくなるだろう。

駆逐榴弾は命中すると1％の確率で炎上を付与します。

この主砲は秒間発射数が多いので炎上させやすい。

Stat Comparison

様々な駆逐主砲とステータスを比べてみましょう。

威力×発射数×補正の数値は虹127mmが120、虹アイリス砲が112。

The Rainbow 127mm has high bonuses against light and heavy armor, and its attack speed also takes the lead.

At this point, it is clear that its attack performance against light and heavy armor is superior to the Rainbow Iris.

Other stats such as projectile speed and range are equivalent to general-use HE main guns.

DPS

General Destroyer

This is the main gun DPS calculated using the destroyer "Kagetsu" as a model.

Accuracy is based on simulation.

The accuracy of the Rainbow 127mm uses data from the 127mmD, which has similar performance.

As expected, the Rainbow 127mm ranks first in DPS against light and heavy armor.

Light armor DPS is about 12% higher than the Rainbow Iris gun.

Heavy armor DPS is about 19% higher than the Rainbow Iris gun.

Reload is also faster, giving it an advantage in full barrage DPS.

The Rainbow Iris gun is superior in medium armor DPS and against multiple enemies.

The Rainbow 127mm's medium armor DPS is close to the 135mm Twin Gun Mount Model 1938 [T3] (Pompeo Gun), but considering barrage DPS and burning, the Rainbow 127mm seems to be the better choice.

Z52

This is the DPS calculated for main gun + full barrage + main gun linked barrage using Z52 as a model.

Recent UR destroyers have strong full barrages and possess barrages linked to main gun attacks.

When using these, it can be more effective overall to prioritize rotation speed over main gun attack power.

The Gold Single Mount Gun is an SSR equipment, but it exhibits high DPS against medium and heavy armor. It's even competitive with UR main guns against light armor.

For Z52, the Gold Single Mount Gun is the best equipment, surpassing UR main guns.

As a side note, there's a small tip that the Gold Single Mount Gun's rotation speed significantly improves with a reload stat of 291 or higher.

This data does not include ship skills or equipment. If you were to equip Goldbarn in an actual battle situation, it should have an advantage against light armor as well.

Summary

The Rainbow 127mm is strong against single-target bosses with light and heavy armor.

For medium armor bosses and multiple enemies, the Rainbow Iris gun remains the strongest.

For some destroyers, the Gold Single Mount Gun is optimal over UR main guns.

Since it can be mass-produced, it's also good for equipping on secondary gun types. This way, you don't have to worry about rotation speed.

Investing Gold Parts

Should I prioritize developing the Rainbow 127mm? Or invest gold parts? It's a difficult decision.

Compared to equipment that consumes other UR reports, the priority for destroyer main guns is inevitably lower.

Azur Lane is a game where battleships are overwhelmingly strong, and there are many opportunities to obtain new, rerun, and permanent UR battleships.

To bring out the full potential of these battleships, the priority for the Prototype 457mm Twin Cannon MKA[T0] (Georgia Cannon) becomes high.

When it comes to investing in gold parts, the theory is to prioritize battleship main guns if you're going to consume the same gun parts.

Overall Evaluation

The UR Destroyer Main Gun "Prototype Type 5 127mm Twin Cannon" has been implemented.

Its offensive power against single targets is high, and it's particularly strong against light and heavy armor.

It pairs well with destroyers that rely on main gun damage, collaboration destroyers without full barrage skills, and gunboat types that don't depend on main gun rotation speed.

If you're aiming for a one-shot kill in the Ember Battle, you'll want a few of these. Otherwise, the priority isn't that high, so it's probably fine to craft them if you have spare resources.

Since the Mogador Cannon rerun is planned for the future, you could also make do with that for a while.

Synergistic Ships

Ships that pair well with the Destroyer Main Gun "Prototype Type 5 127mm Twin Cannon[T0]".

Northern Parliament Armaments

Since it's a main gun from the Northern Parliament faction, it can fulfill the Northern Parliament armament condition.

Akishikaze gets a 15% boost to main gun accuracy when equipped with a Northern Parliament main gun. Additionally, Akishikaze's main gun has a 115% armor penetration multiplier against all armor types, significantly increasing its damage against medium and heavy armor.

Isuzu is a light cruiser but can equip destroyer main guns. Furthermore, when equipped with a Northern Parliament main gun, the damage she receives is reduced by 12%.

Main Gun Damage Dealers

Destroyers that deal damage with their main guns pair well with the Rainbow 127mm.

For UR ships, candidates include Mogador and Laffey II.

Gunboat Type

It pairs well with gunboat types that don't rely on main gun rotation speed.

With Howden-Leeuw, you can temporarily boost your HE damage by 5% with her skills.

Collaboration Destroyers

It's also an option to equip collaboration destroyers that don't have a full barrage skill.
